Boys Hope Girls Hope is a network of sites that prepare young people to thrive in college, career and life. The scholars join the program in middle school, participate in a wide spectrum of youth developement and academic programming and receive support through college completion.
Potential scholars are selected based upon academic ability, motivation and need. Altrusa of Anaheim partners with the Fullerton Girls Hope and the Boys Hope in Santa Ana.
Altrusa members provide the food for dinner and teach the scholars cooking and food preperation skills.
Altrusans also discuss our profession and college experiences an provide internships when possible.
We also assist in computer skills, tutoring and mentoring as well as arrange field trips and volunteer opportunities for the Scholars.
